10. The black holes
After having been considered a SCI-FI concept for many decades, scientists all believe today in the existence of black holes. These are, according to definition, regions in space from which not even light escapes. A black hole is supposed to absorb all the light that hits the horizon, reflecting nothing. Apparently, they form when heavy stars collapse in a supernova at the end of their life cycle. After being form, a black hole will continue to grow by absorbing matter from its surroundings. Also, scientists believe that black holes exist at the center of most galaxies. Moreover, our own Milky Way is believed to shelter a huge 4 million solar masses (the standard unit of mass in astronomy) black hole. Once one of the mysteries of the universe, black holes are now generally agreed upon and an universal recognition of the phenomenon occurred in the past years. However, for most of us ignorants,it remains nothing but a strange, interesting phenomenon.

9. The end of the Universe
If the universe will end, and how will this happen remains one of those questions that men ask for the sake of asking, even though they know it would be impossible to find an answer. However, man is stubborn: several theories were created, such as the one claiming that the universe will continue to expand up to a point where all matter will be as thin as dust. Another one brings forward the idea that the universe will simply slow down and fall back into a single point, that may spark again into a new Big Bang. Finally, some people believe that baryons and protons, the building blocks of matter will simply decay (as other particles do) and if this do happens, than the universe will simply cease to exist.

8. Time
Time is maybe the greatest of all the mysteries of the universe. This is because, even though we are familiar with it ever since the beginning of our race, we are still unable to define it properly and in a way that satisfies everybody and every field of science. The question of whether the time even exists and can be measured arose and wasn’t yet answered.

7. The Dark Matter and the Dark Energy
Apparently, there is an enormous amount a matter that humans are unable to perceive. This was determined with the help of modern technology and high-tech instruments which show that we can only perceive about 4 % of all the existent matter. The rest is the so called ‘dark’ matter, which remains unperceivable by the human eye because it neither emits nor scatters light, hence the name. According to some studies, the dark matter represents 83 % of the universe, while what we call normal matter is about 17 %. Despite these figures and despite its supposed importance, we were unable of finding evidence of its existence. Accompanying dark matter is the dark energy which has the capability of increasing the rate of expansion of the universe. The existence of this type of energy would explain the recent observations of the expansion of the Universe at an accelerated rate.

6. Multiverse
Multiverse is a term coined in 1895 by the American philosopher William James and it represents a set of multiple universes, also known as parallel universes. This theory implies the existence of more than one universe in the same space and time, but without interacting, except some very special situations. However, no proof of the existence of such worlds were founs yet, so it all remains a matter of belief and of probability.

Hi! :) Heto, magsusulat na naman ako ng tungkol sa isang bagay. Tungkol sa pagsulat. Writing in English at Ecriture en Francaise. 

Earlier, I’m fixing my things — school stuffs. Actually, I have arranged it already long ago, no, just after the school year ended, but I thought of doing it again. Upon doing that, I saw my Investigatory Project. My IP in Third Year. So I read it. And reread it. Then there’s a flashback. January 28, 2012.  University of the Philippines (UP) Alchemes Research Fair 2012! 

A Judge, who I suppose is a professor in UP, just said something about the technicality of our paper. Our — I have a groupmate. So again. Technicality. He said, he has read our paper beforehand and all he can say is that, it’s not a Research Paper. It’s a composition. An essay. 

He told us that we have used words that do not fit the paper we’re working on. we’re doing a research, he said, not an essay. So we better choose words that can be considered in technical writing. And, he added, that we used the same words and sentences over and over again. As the words, adjectives & adverbs primarily, should describe what you’re doing, it must not be opinionated either.

I think I did the mistake. I did our introduction and yeah, it’s the essay part :)) JSYK, I’m an incoming 4th year High School student but still can’t write well. Hahaha. I know the reason. It’s not the teachers nor the education I had. It’s me.

In writing a paragraph, I do not obey the 5-point paragraph set up. I don’t even arrange my thoughts first :)) That’s a laugh I know. But yeah, I do it. It’s like, I write what my mind says what to write. Or what I think what’s to write without even thinking if it’s really essential. And I don’t know how to sort out technical from essays. So yeah, I suck at writing. I just write and write and write. See what I did here? Because practice enhances our abilities. I dont have the guts to say that “Practice makes perfect”. 

So, I think you already noticed I used “so” a lot of times and it’s hackneyed — Hey Sir Melvin! (JSKY, he’s my World Literature teacher, who taught me the word H-A-C-K-N-E-Y-E-D) please just allow me to write and write here on Tumblr. I don’t know where to practice writing. Don’t unfollow me! Asdfghjkl. Hahaha.

My day started when I woke up at 6. May review classes kasi ako kanina. Di ko pa talaga feel gumising kanina -_- kasi ganito yun :)) Natapos akong magPC ng mga bandang 1:30 tapos nahiga ako. Then I read a couple of chapters of The Catcher in the Rye. It seems to be longer kumpara sa The Perks. Well it is. After a while, I checked the time and it’s quarter to three. I thought of not sleeping anymore kasi baka mabitin lang tulog ko but I decided to sleep kasi 3 hours of sleep is 3 hours of sleep. Rare na lang ako makakatulog ng 3 hours when the school year starts. So yun. Tama pala ako, mabibitin lang ako ng tulog. I don’t feel like getting up and all; dapat mga 6:30 pa ako gigising but my dad told me it’s already 6:30 and I have to fix myself. Edi nagmadali ako. nung medyo anhimasmasan, mags-six pa lang pala. So medyo na-feel ko pa yung kinain kong breakfast.

On my way papuntang LRT, nakasakay ko si Ma’am Avila. Pupunta daw siyang school then PhiSci for a seminar about K-12. She asked me if nagbayad na ako, well, di pa. So nilibre niya ako (Again, thank you Ma’am). Nakakwentuhan ko pa si Ma’am before siyang bumaba. About school stuffs — sectioning, adviser, etc. Wala pa daw sections and yung sa advisers, di pa daw nila napag-uusapan. 

Monumento Station. Dito naman, nakasakay ko si Christelle, ang aking kasama sa Tutorlink, and her dad. Twice pa lang kami nagkakasabay sa LRT since we started last April 24. So yun. 

Wala pa kaming nagagawang assignment both. There are two assignments, one in English, one in Math. Kala ko kasi maikli lang yung Math, di pala. And then, nung gumagawa kami, dun ko na nramdaman ang antok. Sakit ng ulo, antok, sakit ng katawan. Eh ksi naman ako diba :)) Ansakit ng ulo ko kaya, bangag na bangag ako sa pagso-solve :)) Nakailang papel ako dahil puro mali =)) Samantalang Algebra lang yun ah. Christelle finished first kaya kinopya ko na lang yung mga di ko pa nasasagutan.

Science Class. Gumagawa pa kami ng assignment nung nagstart. We had two exercises, then the answers were discussed. Stock knowledge lang daw kailangan. Which is true naman. Then additional infos and discussion na lang sa iba. It was good. By the end of the period, I finished my assignment.

Math. YES! I’m waiting for a more challenging topic in Math. Really. Don’t get me wrong, I just like that kind of problems/ items rather than the ratio-proportion-variation-profit-mark up-mark down problems. So our topic is Exponential and Logarithmic Functions. (I definitely am missing Sir Lee) The discussion was fine. I just had a confusion about the graph of EF and I told Christelle about it and she asked me to just forget it. Okay =)) Whe had this group activity. Our group is the noisiest. No, not noisiest. HAPPIEST. And we’re the sole group having a talk with each other. It’s a group task, remember? WE just laugh and laugh and laugh and giggle and all that. At the end, we got 58/60 which is not bad! Can you remember a test when I had a score as this? IN PRECALCULUS? Well I can’t. So I’m happy :)) Hahahahaha. 

English. By the way, the assignment in Math wasn’t collected :/ By the time Sir Danniel arrived, I have finished copying Christelle’s answers in Reading Comprehension and Hansy’s (Yeah, I have a new friend. Her name is Hansy. She’s nice.) on the Pronoun-Antecedent(?), not sure, assignment. Thanks guys! :D Nad we had a discussion on the tenses of the verb and the errors in using verbs. As usual, we had an assignment which, I promise, I will do tomorrow.

Christelle and I have regular seatmates: Grace, Hansy, Alvin and JM. Our new friends, btw ;) 

After class, we have agreed to eat somewhere out there. KFC is full so we thought of Chick Boy’s but we didn’t so we’ve decided to eat at McDonald’s. McDonald’s near St. James College of QC, which has a ncie staircase seen from outside. We rode a taxi (yeah, a taxi) and McDonald’s is just 3 km away. Thanks to Alvin, he paid the taxi. I’ll pay next time, promise.

We ate. And we chat. And we laughed. And talked. And laughed. And laughed. And laughed. And laughed. Especially because of Grace! hahaha. 

As usual, since Christelle and I are doing this this “signing” everytime with our friends, we did this also with Hansy, Alvin and Grace. Since there’s no tissue left, we decided to sign on a French fries… What do you call that? French fries paper bag? =)) IDK. Basta yung pinaglalagyan ng FF. So yun. Here it is.

There you go. I shall be off to bed now and read.
